Description: This is a 5-day remote access class with additional lab practice and certification prep the second week with the instructor available for questions. The AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course is intended for instructors who seek an overall understanding of cloud computing concepts, independent of specific technical teaching area. In addition to a detailed overview of cloud concepts there is specific coverage of all AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing and support. A number of hands-on labs in the actual AWS environment will be utilized throughout the course.

This course provides the foundational knowledge needed to take the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification exam and includes a voucher to save on the exam fee.

Prerequisite: Basic Windows and Linux operating system knowledge. Understanding of networking fundamentals.


Instructor: Curt Chambers has been at Madison College since 2010 in both support and teaching roles within the Dept. of Information Technology. Previously he worked for 13 years in roles ranging from CTO to VP of Operations for a Madison based stock photography company now owned by Getty Images.
